It's not a true daily driver, but it certainly gets plenty of use. I got it new in June '09 and currently have about 7,200 miles on it. There hasn't been one issue with the car in terms of reliability and I haven't had to send it in for any work of any kind. The only upkeep costs I have incurred is whatever I spend on washing and detailing the car.

The advice given to me by my dealer was to not baby the car - he said it's meant to be driven hard and that the ones that are in for the most service are the ones that are overly pampered. So, it has been a pleasure to oblige. I definitely don't rag it out in any way, but I make sure the tach, speedometer, paddle shifters and steering get a good workout each week.

As far as scheduled maintenance goes, I will be sending it in at 10,000 miles or in June '10 - whichever comes first. Hope that helps.

 

Mine is the opposite of a DD and maybe the "babying" has led to a few niggling problems. Only 1200 miles in the first year and I'm determined to do better in year 2...
