Just out of curiosity, how much snow do you guys get and are you planning on driving your car in the winter. Not an option for me.
@Blane, in the mid of winter we do get sooooo much snow, so no, I will not be driving it during snow times, but I still placed winter tires on it, for the times where there is no snow, but the temperature is extremely low, I will drive it yes, so in November most likely I will drive it, and then wait for end of Feb early march..

Its worth it, though it freaked me out a bit as am not used to driving up mountains, especially in a hair dryer power car, with the roof down(bmw318). Apparently they used to have races on this road, amazing history to it.

Video

Yesterday we had a public holiday, I was lazying around the house when I remembered that it is a matter of weeks before it starts snowing and no more driving for at least 3 months, so I jumped in the car and hit the downtown roads for a quickie.. I decided to make a little timelapse video of my trip back to the garage, it took about 40 minutes, and over 1000 pictures combined to make a 3 minute clip.. the camera used is ProCam HD.. great new toy, it was my first attempt to use it, and it turned out great.. here is the video.. I hope you like it..

Please tell me what you think of my first attempt

First attempt video with the GoPro HD.. made a mistake not setting the aperture right.. I left it at Cnt not the SPt mode.. that's why you see allot of white haze inside the car.. Still learning

Enjoy,

Wow I just realized that I haven't updated this thread since 2010.. many things happened since then.. I can say that I bought a new DBS, well at least it felt that way. hehehe

Actually I didn't, I decided to go for a change after a year and half of driving it, and wrapped this baby up with lightning silver foil. The two conditions I had for the company who did the job are that they have to match at least 90% of the silver color to the lightning silver shade, which they did, they went to the AM dealer and picked up a sample and worked on getting that shade.. and the second condition was that they apply it so perfectly, that no one can see the lines and cuts with their bare eyes even if they come very close.. In other words I wanted it as close as it could possibly be to a real paint job, which again they mastered.. I leave you with some videos I took for the end results..

best regards,

Is this a GO PRO ?
If so, looks like the images it captures at night at quite good, but I found the video results to be too dark... I'm in search for a good low light camera that records video for some projects I'm working on!

Cool vids. Thanks for posting. That's great that you were able to find a closed highway like that (last video). At first I thought you guys just parked on the highway early in the morning!

Thank you, yes it is my car that has been going around the net.. I am the proud owner, but all the credit goes to the photographers though

Yes it is Go Pro, but if you were speaking about the video where I was filming from inside the car at night, I should tell you that those were still images that I have combined as time lapse clip, and not actual film at night, the full HD recording is on the one after that where I was driving around the mountains but not at night.. I hope this explains things better
