I had a stock Aston Martin and it had a million problems without moding. Thats why I have a so so looking 911 and not a beautiful Aston. But mechanically Aston is a nightmare. They stroke you at the factory but the real deal is they can't handle being driven hard.

It's not over the top at all. You'll spend a small fortune relative to modding other cars to do what you want, but it's your money. Another way to look at it is you are already getting/got the car at a 50% discount from original MSRP, so you are way ahead. Like we've all said, you are headed down a road very few, if any, have taken and that will come with some potholes. Do keep us in the loop of your results both good/bad and good luck.
