I have to say that I am yet again impressed how the vantage always seems to perform better in the real world against other cars than it does on paper. Granted we were in the power band the whole time (which I assume is the key to actually moving quickly in a stock 4.3L).

Can't wait to start the modding process ... but even in stock form, she's doing quite well

 

That's great for a stock 4.3. Of course he probably thought it was a 4.7 and wasn't surprised you beat him. Good job!

 

Nice! These cars move when they are high in the revs (and you keep them there).

 

Sounds great but I can't help but wonder if he really got on it or if he mis-shifted or something. I drove one of these ISF's at a Skip Barber Racing event and they have an enormous amount of torque. I just don't see how the 4.3 could outpace the Lexus in the lower gears.

 

Every time someone try to race me on the free way or city street, I show them my AARP membership card. ; D
