You can't improve on perfection ... something tells me this general shape will be around for a while, look at the new Virage.

I think you're right, its a technique that Porsche have used for decades. Its an approach that Ulrich Bez will know very well from his time at Porsche.

Unfortunately, AML is even following Porsche's lead by designing a really ugly SUV, the Lagonda, which has just got the go-ahead. It looks really bad, not as bad as the Cayenne, but pretty bad. At least it won't say Aston Martin on the badge, so it can hang around like the ugly sister

I don't like the looks of the Cayenne either, but that has been a cash cow for Porsche. If AM can do 1/10th as well with the Lagonda it will bode well for their future and provide some much needed capital for development and updates. Hopefully they will improve the looks for the production vehicle.

Totally agree, Porsche seem to be able to distort the look of their car and it still sells, people are even buying the Panamera, and that looks like a humping dog climbed on the back of a 911.

Its encouraging to know that when Aston wanted a 4-seater, they varied the shape a little and delivered another beautiful car. Hope they do the same with the SUV, which looks like its going to be based on something from MB
