Has anyone changed the shift knob?

What about this one?

You can also have the A/C dials in the same finish (black or silver).

I just measured, and it's slightly longer. The original **** is 8.5 cm tall, and the new one is 9 cm tall.

It feels much better to me--more solid and with more heft. It's also chunkier in the hand, which seems appropriate for this car.

Mark,
I bought it off the UK eBay site but astonmartinbits.com has one for sale here:
http://astonmartinbits.com/models/5-...tage/parts/539
It converts to $697. I paid closer to $600. I figure I could always sell it later to get some value back out of it when I sell my car.
As for install, you need to remove the silver lip on the package tray and then there are 4 additional screws you need to remove. Two in the very back and two under the cupholder in the middle-ish. Once those are out, you start in the very back and remove the entire center console from back to front. It sounds horrifyingly scary but it's actually pretty easy, especially once you know where the screws are.
If you end up getting one, let me know and I can meet up and guide you through the process.

Bazonkers, that would be great to get some help from someone who has done it before. I would really appreciate that. What is the best way to contact you once I get the shifter?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I bought mine for £210 ($325) including shipping on the UK eBay site. The seller had another one for £190, that had a small scratch. I think if you watch over time, you can find one in that price range.

I hd the DBS one installed, really didn't like the original unit at all. No complaints but it's coming out soon to be replaced by the Sarah Maynard one, much nicer to hold, more hand-shaped rather than a big lump of cold billet!
http://www.sarahmaynard.com/drivers-collection I already have the dials and **** set, ashtray and she's working on a full interior for me at the moment. Talented lady.
