The main point of Aston moving to the 4.7 was the additional low-down torque, which is what was really holding back the 4.3, which had plenty of torque and power but it was all at the upper reaches of the rev range, so if you stay below 5,000 rpm, then you really won't experience the 4.3 at its best

Maybe its before the bump to the 4.7 But im not lying i for sure felt it on 2 different cars, both were the 4.3 with about 10k miles so they were broken in. Im on the fence for either a GT3/R8 v8/or v8 vantage if they didnt lag so bad. Maybe i should check the 4.7's if they indeed dont lag

Maybe come to one of the Redmond town center car things on Saturdays in the summer. There's always some Vantages around and you could bum a ride with one of them.

Never felt the "lag" you're talking about. When I mentioned throttle response, I'm talking about how fast the car revs.
