Oh im not saying the motor has no power, its the lag time between me pressing down on the pedal and the car reacting after me. Id say its probably a solid 1/2 second at the least, which from my experience with manual cars theres virtually 0 lag from the throttle

I've not heard of a lag problem before, and there is no trace of lag on my MY10 4.7, so I wonder if its something they fixed in the later cars?

Maybe its before the bump to the 4.7 But im not lying i for sure felt it on 2 different cars, both were the 4.3 with about 10k miles so they were broken in. Im on the fence for either a GT3/R8 v8/or v8 vantage if they didnt lag so bad. Maybe i should check the 4.7's if they indeed dont lag

Never felt the "lag" you're talking about. When I mentioned throttle response, I'm talking about how fast the car revs.

Maybe come to one of the Redmond town center car things on Saturdays in the summer. There's always some Vantages around and you could bum a ride with one of them.
