Rear Grille Disassembly

Is there an easy way (without taking off or significanly loosening the rear bumper cover) of removing the V8V left and right rear grilles? A special technique or tool?

Are you referring to the gray piece under the rear license plate that look like metal with the grill above it? If so, it comes off very easily. There are allen screws in the bottom of the piece that once removed will allow the entire piece to come off the bumper.

Component Clarification

Adam,

I want to remove 2 of the 3 black painted perforated horizontal grilles above the cross-car wing. The center section protects the transaxle oil cooler. The ends, left and right, complete the styling theme. These ends are the parts I am trying to remove without disturbing the bumper skin if possible.

Got it. I removed mine but I can't remember exactly how I did it. I know, I'm of no use to you! My recollection is that it is self explanatory. First remove the gray fiberglass piece on the bottom and then I think the mesh was bolted by a bracket to the bumper. It has been a few years so don't remember exactly but it was easy. I did it using a lift. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.
