I've been reading the book this week and I think it's great. It's a must have for any modern-era Aston owner. Although it's not the best writing ever (the author seems to use exclamation points every other sentence), it is really informative. I've already learned a few things that I didn't know before despite having read everything I can find online. Another good thing about the book is that, while the author is definitely a fan of Aston, he's not a cheerleader and openly discusses the drawbacks of the cars.

Got my copy. Pretty decent little book. Lots of info (and poor grammar/typos), but it's way better than not having the book at all.

Good reference when you need it. And anyone shopping for an AM for the first time should absolutely READ THIS BOOK...

Just got my copy too...A great resource for future owners like me...It's help me narrow my choice down to a 4.7 Vantage...Just need to furfill a promise to the CFO and i will feel less guilty about indulging myself..

Thumbs up Sold out but reprint on the way

Hi Guys and Girls, just found this post - a big thank you to those of you who have got the book and also for posting reviews, you can't beat real feedback.

I'm very pleased to say that the book has been well received and the first print run has now completely sold out, much quicker than expected. We are just putting the finishing touches to an enhanced 2nd edition that will be out at the start of August (can be pre-ordered via the books official website at www. astonmartinreview.co.uk - I haven't included an active link as I believe the rules of the forum forbid this, it is also listed on Amazon). The small site also has more info for those that haven't already seen the title.

The core guide is still the same, but we have added 2011.5 Model Year data, more information on the new Sportshift II transmission and Garmin Navigation, added a feature on Zagatos past and future, enhanced a few layouts, images and articles. The guide has also been re-proofed (again!) to remove any remaining typo's and we have reduced the number of exclamation marks (sorry.... a personal weakness of mine and fairly pointed out by some).

The main reason for posting (aside from saying a big thank you to you all) is to say that for everyone that already has the book we will be sending you a free PDF update via email with the new 011.5MY information and a couple of new pages. You will need to have purchased the book via Sceptre Publishers (either Amazon or the astonmartinreview website) as they have kindly agreed to forward my update to all the email addresses they have on file.

If you have further feedback or want to suggest additions/changes for the re-print we still have a few days left and you can always email via the website above.

Thanks again for your support, putting these things together is very much a labour of love and it is hard to spread the word on specialist titles, so if you found it of benefit thanks for letting others know.

Nacelle - Inder's a regular on 6-speed is he? An all round good guy with one very nice Vantage.

Finally received my copy of the book Grant
Man oh man, it's packed full of info - great job!

As others have mentioned, this is going to be a must for anyone looking to buy an Aston, great perspective on the good & the bad (thankfully not much to do with ugly, ahhh unless we get Mansory involved )

I was actually going to shoot you a email with a few things I caught for the next revision, so good timing on the post.

Once again, thanks for the efforts on putting this project together!

The Mansory bit made me chortle, thanks again for doing the owners piece Gekko and I'll look forward to getting your suggestions via email when you get time.

Cheers Jenk, By your profile photo it looks like you are moving from Pork 997 to Aston? I did the same.

It's not a major piece on the Sportshift II as we have lots of detail on the Sportshift concept already - but it covers the 7- gear ratios and why it is lighter and more efficient with improved transmission of horsepower to the rear wheels. I should get the email out in early August.
