What happened??
I leave town (and internet access) for a few weeks, and I find that AM Dragon is gone!
Are you serious? Delete the thread if you wish, but he is the one guy with an intimate knowledge of these cars. If he told you things that you did not want to hear, so be it.
Some of you (I'm talking to you, 007 Vantage) are such legends in your own minds, and don't want to hear that some of your mods are worthless crap.
If this turns out to be my last post, you are welcome to PM me for the real-deal forum for mods and information that actually work, courtesy of Bamford Rose.

I don't watch these things that closely but I know and am respectful of the policies of the forum. I would however like to know when something like this happens and the reasons why. I have longed for quality debate and expert knowledge of these cars. It has been the one thing that is missing when compared to other manufacturers. Porsche and Ferrari have tremendous dialogue including a lot of disagreement amongst their faithful. We lack that because of our numbers and attention from the aftermarket tuners. It is fortunate that we have people like RSC as contributors and sponsors. It would be nice to add others to the family. We can all gain by numbers interested in these cars. There is no reason for resent or animosity. I have a very healthy relationship with my chief professional competitor and we have both prospered by the relationship. I would hate to think that we have heard the last of AM Dragon Maker. Hopefully there can be a resolution. I would certainly like to hear what happened if only in a PM.

there were no members or sponsors involved in the decision...Mike made the decision himself...he did not wish to become a forum sponsor at this time and continued to promote his products and his company in open forum and privately in violation of our agreement....I wish he could have remained...he was given a second chance because I recognized that he could be a valuable resource to our AM members...too bad, but economic times being what they are it is understandable

Thanks Chuck. I appreciate the clarification. I understand the decision and respect the outcome. Perhaps things will change for Mike and he will be able to come back as a sponsor. Anyone with his expertise would be an asset to the AM faithful on our forum.

agree completely.... hope that he returns!

100% agree, I learned a lot about my car from "AM Dragon maker" and always enjoyed his well thought out comments. He's a great asset to this site.

Not sure if everyone knows or not but Mike is still on the Pistonheads Aston forum. There is a thread there that has been made into a sticky that is filled with information about the cars and modding them.

They are working with the V12 Vantage as well. Very interesting.

Yeah, Mike says that a new exhaust manifold, cats, and exhaust can bring the V12V to 550bhp. That has a nice ring to it. Then again, I like the current exhaust note and I'm not sure I want to change it, at least not at the moment. I think his exhaust system will be ready some time in 2012.
