Mine takes about that long to fire but it definitely doesn't sound like the remaining part though. Once mine fires, it roars. I have the AM engine upgrade too.

FYI, CTEK is the manufacturer of the Aston Martin trickle charger. You can get them, and accessories at www.ctek.com I purchased the US 800 model and it works like a champ. They have more advance models if your so inclined.

I imagine it is easy to hook up, correct.

Its very easy to hook up. Typically it connects to cig lighter type connector in the back (at least on my V8 Vantages). You can also get an adapter to bolt it directly to the battery, if so inclined. The old standby "clamps" are also available. One CTEK model will even keep the proper juice running allowing you to remove the battery and not have to reset everything.

Doesn't seem to take very long to start- a second?

Though, it does sound very anemic once it does. Once mine catches, it roars.

The video was of my older car (MY2007) No engine upgrade

The service department couldn't figure it out what the heck was wrong (after 3 visits) . . . then I read somewhere on a forum, "beat the snot of the car" for a week solid, along with some longer drives. To my amazement, the car started perfectly a few days later. (not a clue why, but it worked in my case)

once mine catches, it roars too... but i would say from pressing the start engine button until it roars is maybe 2 seconds (between 1 and 2 seconds).

Mine seems to catch pretty quick. A little quicker than the video.

Maybe try driving hard? I have to say I routinely see those red lines light up
