Now back from our great Nurburgring week end with a video to prove the quality of my work on the DB7V coils:

Should have taken not a lot more, once the manifolds were off I found oil in some of the plug holes, waiting for the cam covers and coils gaskets to arrive.

RicoDB9 is infamous around these parts
I have an 07 DB9 Sport with 27k on it. I have the typical AM battery issues. In fact it just happened to me last week. Battery went dead and "Emission Service" light went on. It has done it before.

IGNORE IT. Make sure your gas cap seal is clean and cap is tight. Drive it for a few hundred miles and it will go out on its own.

WORSE CASE is go into AM and have them reset the code. If it immediately comes back on you may have an issue but I'll bet you 3 beers it doesn't.

With respect to battery tenders, you can buy a fully electronic 2A smart charger for $40 at Canadian Tire... if your patient they go on sale every once in a while for $25. It has a cigarette lighter adapter and I plug it right into the cigarette lighter interface thing in the trunk... works like a jet!!!

Didn't want to start a new thread. Going to replace the coils and plugs on my 2009 DB9. Got a quote from nearest dealer for parts -coils, plugs, gaskets for $3300 US.

Sounds high to me. Anyone have sources for parts I can look in to?
Also how about a listing of gaskets I'll need. Anything besides intake?

Thanks.

HWM in the UK. Around $100 per coil, plus intake gaskets, and top and bottom injector o-rings (maybe). Plugs you buy at your nearest auto parts store.

Yes 3 pins, the 2 pins were fitted to early DB9, circa 2004/2005.Order your parts from Rob SIMS at HWM.

Do all 2005's have 2-pin? Seems I've read somewhere that no one really knows when they started using 3-pin and the only real way to know was to check the harness or coil to determine which you have.

Yes, very unclear, the parts catalog states the two parts but without any Vin n° evolution.
