Best Polish or Wax For Aston???
For the past 25 years I've been using a polish called Astro-Shield on every car I've owned. It's easy to use and leaves an incredible glossy shine, as well as protecting from the elements. It also cleans off road tar and eliminates swirl marks. The company that makes Astro-Shield is no longer making it, and I was wondering what members of this forum use on their cars. Thanks in advance!

Polish - Menzerna Super Finish Polish (PO106FA)
Sealant - Jetseal 109
Wax - Dodo Juice Supernatural Wax

If you are going to polish your car, you need a buffer to get out swirls, light scratches, etc. You also should clay your car prior to polishing.
I use clay followed by Menzerna Super Intensive Polish on orange pad, followed by Menzerna Super Finish Polish on white pad. The polishing done with a Flex. I only do this once/year, since the Aston usually sits in the winter and it is not my daily driver
I wax once/month with pinnacle souveran.
I never heard of Astroshield, but when I googled it, I found some guys are still making it http://www.storesonline.com/site/564545/product/200-050. It seems like it's a glaze, polish, and sealant. The glaze hides the swirls and scratches and the sealant protects the paint. Usually the one step products do a decent job, but it can't compare to a true polish with buffer.
BTW, take a look at the detailing section. Lots of good info. Doesn't really matter if it's a Honda or Aston, the steps for detailing are the same.

Stuff I love the best in terms of wax is: Collinite No.845.
The stuff is so easy to use and lasts forever!!!
I tried a small test patch on my daily driver and mixed it with some other stuff I had in the garage, take a look . . . just repels the water!!

With that said, what color is your Aston?
Can you post a picture of the paint.
What results are you trying to achieve?
High gloss? Depth? Longevity? Ease of use? etc.
This will help to steer you in the right direction.
Most of the time, we recommend this kit since it's easy to use, results are great, and it's not too expensive:

You may want to upgrade wax to P21S 100% for greater protection, shine, and depth.

Gekko:
Thats an amazing video. I'm sold, where can I get this stuff? And does everyone recommend hand wax or orbitall buffer?
Edit:
And I dont think claying is necessary for any of us that weekend drive the car (<5k/year). I only clay my M3 which is 30k a year, with plently of rain and snow driving.

Sounds like you are a bit skeptical. There are literally dozens of videos on Youtube of people demonstrating the amazing sheeting action of Insulator Wax on horizontal and vertical surfaces.

I have used lots of high end polish and wax (yes, I'm a detailer freak) but I like Zaino the best. It's a polymer based polish and it's like putting layers of glass over your car. Works a bit better on darker colors but still looks awesome in my racing green AM...the shine can hurt your eyes..hahaa.
