AM Tire Sealant System

AM Tire Sealant System
Has anyone had to use the factory supplied AM tire sealant & inflation system?
Last night my wife & I were leaving an art exhibit & I noticed my '06 DB9 pulling to the left significantly as we drobve out of the parking garage. I pulled over to check the left front tire & it was flat. I pulled out the AM supplied tire sealant & inflation system & discovered the power cord is not long enough to reach the accessory socket which in the DB9 is located in the right rear of the boot next to the battery conditioner outlet. My car does not have a cigar lighter in it so that wasn't an option either. I tried every possible configuaration I could think of but nothing worked. I fianlly called one of my kids who came to the garage, parked next to me & I plugged into thier car lighter. Once powered the tire sealant & inflation tool works fine. As an aside I think the reason my tire went flat is related to some work I just had done to refinish the wheels and replace the TPS sensors. After picking the car up from the shop I had only driven it 6 miles before the tire went flat. There doesn't appear to be a puncture or nail in the tire & I doubt someone intentionally let the air out of the tire, but who knows. Suffice it to say I will be talking to the shop that did the work about the leak & to the local Houston AM dealer about the fact that the genius who devised thetire sealant & inflation system failed to include a power cord long enough to allow it to be used to inflate a left front tire.

It's probably one of those, "Doh" monments. Since AM didn't design the kit in the first place (it is an off the shelf Continental Tire kit), they probably never thought about the length of the power cord (until someone points it out). The kit was obviously designed with the idea that it would be powered by an in-cabin socket, not one at either extreme of the car.

Don't understand why your car does not have an outlet in the cabin. For cars that don't have a smoker's option (lighter and ashtray) it should still have a power outlet in the center console. Is this compartment blank or empty in your car?
