How Long Do Aston Owners Keep Their Cars

Good to see you're still checking in Michael. I assume you meant DB 4/5/6?

Hmm, I guess I will say something at the opposite corner of the guys here.. I am addicted to driving new cars off dealerships, that new car leather smell intoxicates me, I am a crazy sports car enthusiast that wants to own every sports car in the world, but can only afford to keep one at a time, so I buy a new car, drive it for two years, and then jump to another brand and drive it off the dealer, and keep it for two years, and repeat the same..

What a beautiful car
Added a 2007 Vantage Coupe to my modest collection of Ford and Ford-derivatives in Sept, 07. Loved the whole package, the style, inside and out, the materials employed and its assembly technology/quality...still love it.
Have made a number of improvements, some significant, some trivial. Plan to continue the refinement as opportunities are presented. Powertrain upgrades are in the future via Bamford Rose.
My Vantage has become a permanent member of the "fleet".

How long not sure
Originally I bought a new 07 Vantage with a 5 year warranty with the desire to put 10K miles annually in the Minnesota Spring-Summer-Fall period. The recession forced me to sell after 2 years.
I just bought an 09 with 31,000 miles with my favorite colors (grey with a light tan interior). Will likely get a wood dash this next year. How long? Maybe 5 years, maybe longer if the economy does not tank again.

I bought Mike's V8V from him right before he posted that. We became friends over the course of the transaction and we still keep in regular contact. Here's his 356C and my V8V (the one I bought from him!) at Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans in October last year Truth be told, the 356C gets way more attention than the V8V!

Great thread revival! I do not recognized quite a few of the folks that posted early in this thread. ^^ good to see you still have yours. Wonder how many of the others do.?
Me; had my original 2010 DB9 coupe for ~15 months, traded it for the Virage Volante 3 months ago. Last sports car that I really liked, I had it for ~11 years (well, owned it twice, separated by a 1.5 year period by the guy I sold it to). I like this car!

3 Levels of Loyalty
1- Keep it forever
2- Love AM but trade up for newer/bigger
3- Trade for another experience
After 3 years and 25K, I'm at a 1.5. Absolutely love it, thought I'd keep it forever, but may eventually switch out for newer ammenities & more HP.
Also went from looking at the forum every day to not having contributed for a few months....maybe a sign of change to come?

I have had my 09Vantage for three years, which is longer than my 2007 997S, 1996 993S, 1976 911 and 2003M3. However, I do have a waivering eye for the V12S, new DB9! I can not really afford either and if I had the ability I would already have a Vanquish on order.

Before I bought my DBS, three years ago, I would change sport cars every 2 yrs, but this is the first car I bought that I've developed a special attachment, and now, in my time of life, I cannot see this car and I parting. A very different love affair.
