You just need a bigger garage.

This past weekend I was on a charity rally (near Lime Rock) with our race club. Had the (new to me) Vanquish - someone asked "who makes these?" I said it's Aston Martin and he said "that's who makes the Genesis?" Even after explaining AM and Hyundai/Kia differences I'm not sure he fully understood.

The 2 car garage is a self-limiting control mechanism . . . thus I can make myself poor at a slower pace

I had mine detailed on Saturday. I have no plans of ever selling this car, and I have more or less decided that at some point a restoration is probable. As my daily driver i do put miles on it, and started at 27K and change, and I'm up to 41K and change in about 18 months. That being said, its been reliable, fast, pretty, and safe. All that I can ask of a car. I don't track it, but its a daily driver right now. Previously I daily drove older Land Rover products and have too many cars I later regretted parting with. I don't see these depreciating further either, as a 'just in case it all goes south' aspect of ownership. I'm also not sure my wive would ever let me part with 'Vesper" as she's named it, and I'm sure 99% of you get the reference.

Had mine for 6 years now. I really don't plan to sell it. I plan to give it to one of my kids. I don't know what the future holds for gas cars, but I imagine they will still be around for another 20 years. The question at some point becomes, where can I find a place that sells gasoline? Oh well, that will be a problem for my kid, not me.

Now then, looking at this thread that goes back a decade or so, I don't recognize hardly any of the names from 2013 and earlier, and I have been on this forum since 2016. So most people apparently don't keep them that long. I see Telum made a post. You newer folks know him now as RedPants. I don't see him around too much anymore and if there was ever a lifer, it was him.
