I had PPI done on my car today and they found some oil on the engine and it looks like two bolts had worked their way loose on one the cover behind the pulleys. I think its is the AOS that is leaking, it does have oil on it. Is there a better way to be sure?

There's only one bolt holding the factory AOS in place:

The cover behind the pulleys is the timing chain cover (the on associated with the notorious "timing cover gasket leak").

The AOS leaking is a separate issue. If it's leaking, you see it on the hose coming out of the bottom of it:

The bolts I was mentioning are not for the AOS. I assumed the oil leaking from the AOS caused the bolts to come loose, but I am now more suspect of the Timing Cover Gasket.

Sadness.....

Timing cover gasket typically leaks at the bottom of the engine.

Actually they generally leak from the top near the tri seal area, the oil found at the bottom is the result of the oil leaking down.
