Which spacers are better?

Thanks Jarod, that makes sense now. Explains why the narrower ones are more expensive.
What are these new nuts like? I'm finding it hard to imagine nuts that find more thread than there is sticking out of the wheel, or maybe there is already enough thread with any nut?
Maybe this is why the spacer is 11mm, at 12mm there wouldn't be enough thread there. That is a bit worrying, but hopefully the German engineers will have built in some contingency.
Now we just need someone to try them out. I was thinking that 11mm was a bit narrow, but if everyone reckons that 15mm looks right, then losing 4mm is unlikely to ruin the looks.

Front 11mm spacers will install without any problem. The original AM nuts, if you pull them off and have a close look at them, only have their thread start about 10mm in. That's because the part of the nut that makes contact with the wheel allows for rotation: the contact part doesn't move when the nut is torqued on. You have to pull one off to see what I mean. The supplied H&R nuts don't do this, the thread starts immediately, which compensates for the 11mm extra spacing. It's totally plug and play.
Rear 23mm spacers are adapters, they bolt on to the hub and then the wheel bolts on to them. They're the reason why I haven't installed them yet: stock wheels don't have enough of a pocket in between bolt holes to allow installation. They require shorter bolts, or grinding off the bolts. As yet I haven't decided what to do, my guy has called up H&R to see if he can source shorter bolts. I'm not 100% convinced on the grinding option... has anyone done this safely before?
Regards,
Ric.
Taken the liberty to upload two pics, the one on the left is an AM nut. Adjusted the brightness a bit on it to show that the thread does not start immediately, but much deeper in. The blue nut is similar to what H&R will supply with the 11mm pack: the thread starts far earlier.

r1cardo, thanks for posting this info.
Its all making more sense now.
A very thin layer of grease on the new nuts might help preserve the wheels, but not too much as it will melt and go everywhere.
I had read somewhere that the original rear wheel studs must be ground down to allow the wheels to fit, which is OK if you never want to take the spacers off, but its a major operation if you do want to run without them at some time in the future. Why not just grind them down, then buy new studs if you want to remove the spacers, rather than buy new ones now, removing and refitting the studs is a bit of a pain.
Hope you are able to post lots of pictures when you have them in place (and pics of the fitting process if you get a chance!)

I'm looking for spacer for my Virage. Anybody have experience with Adaptec? I like that you can customize the thickness. Otherwise it looks like 23mm, 20mm/15mm (need to change out wheel studs), 11mm (supplied with new lug nuts)......
Thoughts?

@LRDog, I'm not familiar with adaptec, I do however have H&R studs and spacers (20mm rear 15mm front) on my Vantage, I strongly recommend them. They went on painlessly and really help the stance, I'm very happy with the new look! Hope this helps and Good luck!

As long as the pockets in the back of the wheel have a big enough diameter and are deep enough, you can use thinner than 23 mm since the pockets will be able to accommodate the nuts which will stand slightly proud of the spacer face. With a 23 mm and thicker spacer, the pockets only have to accommodate the studs since the nuts will be below the spacer face.

Hey guys,
Just found this thread and wanted to answer a few questions if you had any.
We build all of our stuff custom to order, it might take a few weeks sometimes but it's well worth it.
We build spacers with studs and spacers without. Depending on the wheel we can build spacers with studs down to 15mm, usually it's 19mm.
We can build spacers without studs at any thickness from 3mm to as long of an extended stud/bolt you can find.
We'll give you options, you tell us what you want.
If you guys want to talk to the master of all this stuff call Lenny - He'll answer any of your questions in minutes and explain to you the ins and outs.
His number is 775 351 1000
Hope this helps, and feel free to ask us anything.
