Scraped the underside of my front splitter :(
This weekend I drove the S to my uncle's home. I went to make a U turn and pulled into his driveway which, unfortunately, had more of an incline than it appeared. I heard the horrible scraping noise and immediately backed up. I didn't crack the cf, but I definitely scraped it up underneath. Is there an easy fix for this? It doesn't look like I compromised the integrity of the cf, only the finish over it.

i'd imagine it's just a matter of reapplying a clear coat. you should be able to find some stuff online (google carbon fiber clear coat or something like that), or a place that can just do it for you, maybe even just a body shop.
edit: i googled "carbon fiber clear coat repair" and plenty of info came up, so it shouldn't be hard to figure out how to do it yourself, and it looks like it'd be cheap and easy for a shop to repair.

Per Telums recommendation, take it to a good body shop you trust. I have seen badly scraped CF (as long as its not in the weave under the clear) made to look brand new. They will sand it, and recoat the clear.

I hate to say this, but this isn't the only time it will happen. Since its already scraped, you won't cringe so much the next time you do it. As long as its not cracked and only scraped underneath, who's going know? That squirrel you just ran over?

True, nobody can see the underside, but the clear coat is there to protect the carbon fiber weave itself. If the scraped-off clear coat isn't repaired, the carbon fiber will be less protected and will eventually be damaged from a scrape.

Luckily I had some venture shield over it as well, so I didn't do as much damage as I first thought (although I still got into the clear a bit). I may just replace the wrap on it.
