B&O sound system is AWESOME!!!

B&o
I was making a point of performance vs. cost in all areas. Performance of HP, music system, brakes, handling etc. Whatever is important to the person at the time. And no, the 458 did not cost more than an extra $50. My car stickered at $252 which is what I paid. When you are an established customer you can order the cars the way you want without all the extra carbon fiber and other pointless options and you don't pay ebay prices.
As to the V8 vs. the V12 my car has the color combination I wanted and every option including the B&O and the net cost was around $75 less than a V12. So, for me, there was no question which car I would buy. When a low mile V12 comes along in a similar price range I may be a buyer.

Interesting. I thought you couldn't get a 458 without spending at least $300k. FWIW, you can get a V12V for around $175k. So, you paid $75k more for the performance that the 458 provides beyond the V12V, while I paid around $25k-$35k more for the performance that the V12V provides beyond the V8V. This is why I didn't understand why you thought the V12V wasn't worth the extra money. Doesn't make much sense to me.
Regardless, I'm a big Ferrari fan and the 458 is a fantastic car. I was hoping to rent one next week in San Fran, but it appears that the car is already booked. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up a used one in a few years.

I love the 458 except you can't get a MT. Call me old school, but I need to shift the gears. I'm sure the 458 gearbox is sweet, but rowing the gears is more my style. Same goes for the McClaren.
Maybe I'm just s Luddite. Lol.

Simple answer. I already had the 458 so I had the performance part covered. I wanted a Vantage coupe to go with the roadster and the deal on the coupe was too good to consider paying that much more for a 12.
I like a six speed also and plan on having one again in a future AM.

Nope. No B&O on the Ferrari. They have their own overpriced system. Has sub and electrostatic speakers behind the seats. Have it in my car. Sounds great but the B&O has a better soundstage. Ain't it great! So many ways to spend your money.

^^^ lol didn't mean comparing the stereos ... I wouldn't be looking at sound system as a criteria for purchase between the two (generally I don't on any sports cars). Just wanted to get some general feedback from you (or anyone else) between the two. I bet both have okay sound systems but the aston's is probably better

I have turned it on when I bought it, so technically yes! There are no cd's in the player and I have never made any adjustments.
I literally drive the car early morning weekends in the hill country with the windows down. I listen to the stereo at home as mentioned above.
