I'm actually glad he is not driving a modern AM.
It keeps the "mystique" of the old ones and leaves the performance of the new ones for those that enjoy the car not the 007 aspirationals

While I love the old Astons and like the connection with the older Bond films, I'm not happy about the new Astons being dropped. The films have done a lot for the new cars and is probably some of the best and most effective advertising Aston could hope for. People, at least in the U.S., don't really know Astons, but they often say things like "hey, that's the James Bond car, right?" That's a really positive association for Aston.

I appreciate the look and finish of Bentleys. I just can't imagine myself wanting to drive one. If I have a 2 hr commute in and out of traffic, I guess it would make sense but there just isn't a sense of cool. James Bond will not look as badass getting out of one. I know that the early books had him driving a Bentley, but the films have evolved a bit and his character has a different personality. I was hoping for some kind of prototype of the new DB car may be even a ONE-77.

I'm 76! And a reminder that "You may have to grow Old, but you don't have to grow up." For FUN it's a toss-up between my V8V and my BMW R1200RT.
PS: I've hit Red-line a few times in 3rd when passing, but on the open road no more than 140mph (my wife said, "Dick, I think that's fast enough.) Also had a great day with the Aston driving with HOD (Hooked-On-Driving) at Thunderhill Raceway.

I really don't see the connection between the current James Bond and Bentleys. The current James Bond character is much sharper than he used to be, and Bentleys are just too soft around the edges to be a suitable match for him.

They should have used the One-77.

Daniel Craig ain't that old! Think back to the return of Sean Connery in Never Say Never Again. Now that was old.
