lol I hear ya...My jaw dropped when I saw that car! I am torn between it and the DBS...but honestly I love my DB9...it's perfect for what I want in an Aston...a great GT car, perfect cruiser, press car provenance, slate blue/obsideon gorgeous color combo, nice 6L Aston v12 under the bonnet, and it's a rare manual with sport package. I think the next sddition to the stable god willing is going to be a 458 Italia, murce LP670SV (or LP640, depending on the deal), or the MP4-12C. I personally don't consider Aston as a true sports car, and if I'm spending that much on a sports car I want it to be an absolute world beater performance wise and very exotic.

The 458 is a masterpiece and if I were going to spend that amount on a car I would definitely get the 458. Not to mention the 7 years maintenance now covered by Ferrari!

Saw my first Porsche Carrera GT on the road today in Newport Beach. I have to say it's the first Pcar I've ever been excited to see. It was pretty cool. Incidentally, also saw my first Ferrari FF.

I agree with the others that a 911 just isn't that special.

Both are great car, I am aware the most common reaction to 911 vs AM-V8V is there is are simply too many 911 out there etc etc... and it isn't something special. I don't see it that way. Both are timeless design, they are just different. For example, leather is included in a vantage, 911? just partial leather - ha ha ha. Vantage come with a pen just incase I did not bring one to sign the check, 911? No pen.

By the end of the 991 cycle, there will be 20 variations of it, just like 997. My guess if Aston Martin can sell(and produce more car), they will do the same. Vantage, Vantage-S, V-12 Vantage, convertible, throw in special edition...

I do think the sport-shift should be a lot better, but I read that sport-shift 2 is a lot better. It isn't fair to compare that to PDK. 997.1 Tiptronic. would be a better comparison. Personally, one is not a better car than the other, just different.
