Clutch slipping?
#16
Thanks irish, so helpful! I feel like I just sat through a class!
I really do not think this is the issue as in 2+ years, its never ever stalled when coasting and pushing the clutch down. I will have Thomas look at ensuring the misfire corrections are learnt though as that seems like a good thing to do.
Last dumb question, if I have a good OBDII scanner will it show any of this? Or just that Aston equipment?
Thanks for all your help.

Well, you can use a generic scan tool..like what you have, to scan for generic Pxxxx codes, these are generic codes that are engine and some transmision related faults that would be the same for all manufactures..then there are numerous amounts of brand Pxxxx codes which are for the use of that manufacture..aka Ford, GM..Audi....Aston. Some scan tools have a listing of the brand codes and some only list the generic. With Aston using most of Ford codes, if you have a good scanner, you might be able to pick up any Pxxxx code that is flagged in your Aston.
If it is a trans fault, it should be a Pxxxx code..if you have a scanner, I'd try it no questions asked..just you might be lucky and get all the codes or just 1 of the say 5 codes that are stored(some are hidden and can only be picked up by the Aston tool or very pricey scan tools for they are brand codes)..what you won't know is if your scan tool picked up all the codes..just don't erase anything for you could clear the hidden brand faults.
