Hey Guys --

Well I'm about 1300-miles into my new V8VS and noticed that my dash is displaying to schedule regular maintenance. In looking at the Owner's Manual and the service timeline it states that the first service is within the first 12-months or 1,000-miles, then the following service is 24-months or 20,000-miles.

I'm sure I won't drive 19,000 miles in the following 12-months but on my old 06' V8V the first service wasn't till 10,000-miles or 12-months. What was AM's big change to go from 12mo/10,000-miles to 12mo/1,000-miles for first service?

My V8VS has just passed 2.2k miles in 7 months with no service warning.
I asked the dealer when I collected it if there was a short first service.
The replay was no every 10k miles or annually

 

When was the warranty started? Could it be because its 12mos old?
Ive got 1300 miles, dealer is doin 3 month inspection (free).

 

Something is not right. First service should be 10,000 miles or 12 months. 12 months or 1000 miles makes no sense at all.
