V8V maintenance costs

Hi everyone,

Can you give me what typical annual costs for the V8V?
I read somewhere that you have to replace/fix the clutch every 20k miles and this costs $7k-$10k.

Oil changes every 3k miles = ?
Tires are about $400-500 each tire.
Other maintenance like alignments (which Firestone has this lifetime alignment for $169, but they said Astons are not covered)

Just trying to get an idea of what maintenance runs.

Figure around 2k per year in normal maintenance. This include yearly maintenance 1500ish and 500 leftover for something random

I agree, probably about US$2k/year for routine maintenance.

Oil changes are every 10,000miles or once a year.
Tires, depending on what you get but yeah US$500+/tire.
I have had my V8V about a year and a half and have had even tire wear and no alignment issues.
Clutch … depends on how the car is/was driven. Some folks have gotten into the 30k mile range on the original clutch, some have only gotten 10k miles. The cost is reported to be around US$6k for parts and labor.

Good luck!

This is pretty accurate. I have 35,000 miles and at last maintenance replaced battery, brakes and rotors, 2 tires, wipers and spent slightly less than $7000. It should be good to go for a while now. At least I hope so.

Does the clutch really only last 35k on the high end? I feel like this should be a driver issue...not sure how you would only get 35k out of a clutch if driving it right.

The clutch on the Aston is known to wear out quickly. Only 15k miles is not unusual.

It is mostly driver related. It is not uncommon to see them with 30k+ miles if one can properly drive a manual car. I have over 30k on mine.

Oil service is done in 10k or annual service. The oil change alone is around 400 - parts, labor and inspections.

Yup, 9-10K miles for me at the annual service. Aston holds about 10-quarts and uses a very high-end Castol Oil (~$18/quart) so with those two things considered, there is no problem following the factory recommendation of 10K miles between changes.

Oil change can be DIY if you're so inclined (search the forum for a thread with details). The appropriate filters/gaskets etc can be sourced online (eBay). In North America, the oil used is generally Castrol TWS 10W-60 (you can find it at any BMW shop, it's standard issue for all the M cars), and can be had for $12-14 a quart if you shop around. 11 quarts will do ya ... good to have a couple on hand during the year though for top ups as the cars do use a bit of oil when driven.

Good memory kba. I'm in the market for a 2010, but its still around $100k. I'm debating a few other priorities currently. Having a tough time swallowing writing a check this big! Soon though, hopefully.
