Anyone here try swapping in a 6-slat grille on a pre-MY10 V8V? Just wondering if it will fit in terms of the mounting points lining up.

Thanks Karl. Great link with lots of info and I liked the survey where the 6 bar grill won. It's good to see your posts again. I sold my '02 Esprit a couple years ago and was a regular poster on the Lotus forum back then and always enjoyed your posts there!

If that is the case I can think of a few other ideas for them! Lots of low hanging cost saves all over my DB9........but then perhaps I wouldn't like the car so much if they did!

Anyone know the best place to buy a 6-slat grille for my 2009 AM V8V? I checked Aston Martin Bits. Is there any specific seller or dealer that offers great pricing? For example, SunCoast was the place I always went for my old Porsche's parts because they always had the best deal. Anything like that for Aston?

I know whatcha mean bud...here's my little general rule of thumb...

Suncoast for Porsche

Aston martin bits for Aston

Ricambi for Ferrari

Otherwise ...INTERWEBS for ALL and anything

I bought my 6 slat grille carbon version from astonmartincarparts.com exce to deal with. Shipping was not obscene I think about $75 by airmail if I recall.

You could also try forum member stu@vcollection he gets OEM AM stuff he's located in canada.

Comparison Photos

When the previous owner of my '06 DB9 Volante bought it, it had the grill in the first photo. He thought it looked too "Ford-like" so he had the grill replaced with that in the second photo. This is the same car in both pictures.
Maybe I'm aesthetically-challenged, but I don't really care either way. I certainly wouldn't have spent the money!

It looks more like a ford the less number of grille slats it has due to the design of the ford grilles which have more slats.
