Light Painting

Went on a night shoot with a photographer friend who did some creative light painting. The photos turned out well!

Our Brits on Pensacola Beach. Sadly the wife's jag now has 200 bhp more than me at 675bhp (VAP Tune and pullies plus intake). It is much quicker. Though the Vantage is lighter and handles better. GMR SC may close the gap some when it ships in May.

New to me 08 V8V Roadster

Bought it back in November 2020 in Oceanside, CA. San Diego County went into a "Purple" lockdown the next day. I drove it off the interstate from the Pacific Ocean to Atlanta, GA, top-down the entire way.
It had a little under 13k miles before I started the drive. It has tinted windows, with red Lloyds carpets over the factory. I think it plays nicely off the Rathlin Red exterior and the red stitching on the sandstorm leather interior.
Here are some pics from along the way.

At the beach near Torrey Pines

Bugs from all the toxic death at the Salton Sea. The only time the top was up. These all settled on the hood within 30 seconds of stopping to get out and take a picture.

At the Old Tucson Movie Studios.

Visiting the otherworldly White Sands National Park

Picking up Drive-Thru at the UFO McDonald's in Roswell, NM.

Getting fueled up on coffee before trying to make it to Texas. NM had a no visitor policy in place, so I just had to drive through it all in the same day,

Visiting the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, TX. Right around the block from the Silos for all you Fixer Upper fans.

Thanks @Drknevl ! The color is what sold me on the car. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of things that I love about the car, but brighter reds are my favorite color in any car. The Aston Martins look great in the shades of silver, grey, and black which you are more likely to see them in. But, I'm just too much of an American to not prefer mine in a flashier color. As far as the trip, I've often thought about taking a cross-country trip then when the opportunity came for me to do it in an Aston Martin it was too much of an experience that you hope to tell your grandkids about one day - pandemic be damned.

08 Vantage

Here’s my new babe.

2008 6-speed manual V8V in Blue Tempest on Sahara Tan interior w/ Kestrel Tan outer seat stitching and Caspienne Blue carpet. 18k miles, QuickSilver SS exhaust, Power Upgrade, and fairly recent clutch replacement. Near perfect condition. All these goodies came included on delivery.

Looking to switch plates for personalized... we’ll see what’s available. I’ll be cruising the roads of SoCal so say Hello if you see me. Based near L.A.

Not my skids but made for sweet shot.

On the PCH

Overlooking Oakland and SF... sort of given the fog.

A bird photo bombed this epic moment.
