Official Aston Martin Picture Thread!

As you might recall, I got my car back from the graphics shop with this. It was too bright for my taste. (I know, I know. It's a RED car, why am I worried about being too BRIGHT, right?)
Well, I took it back and had the bright silver replaced with black chrome and what normally is blue on the Union Jack, they put brushed black wrap. This is the result:
The addition of black chrome makes the graphic dynamic in that its brightness is a function of the reflections of the environment. Here it looks dark.
Here it looks bright.
If you zoom in on the black chrome you'll see the ridges caused by the underlay of stripes giving it a 3 dimensional quality. You might also notice how the brushed black changes by the viewing angle.
Total cost of the rear end enhancements = $475. I think the graphics folks NAILED IT!

Beautiful pic! Seems like impossible lighting conditions to capture a dark car. Yet there it is! I would've expected redder hues for a sunset. The whiter light makes it seem, well, heavenly...but it is Marin after all! Well done!

Thanks. It was actually a camera phone and then my friend Photoshopped it a bit more. The phone exposed for the car and blew out the sky which is why the sky is white. It was maybe 45 minutes before sunset too so the colors hadn't really come out yet. The car is black which is always tricky to capture, but you can tell how tough the lighting was because the red calipers are almost invisible.

Hocdoc, do you know if your car had a history in Las Vegas? I may have seen it before when I started looking for one. The one I saw had the Asanti grill, quicksilver exhaust, shark fin antenna, and a couple more unusual features like two toned seats swapped from another Vantage (dark red centers) and a factory power upgrade.
