Please Name Bamford Rose's V8 Vantage Pinnacle Project
On my recent trans Europe jaunts I have started to find the V8 a little "light" on power when it comes to overtakes
I know many will say "buy a proper engine" but my car has to be a roadster and there are several aspect of the S I really don't want to lose (light weight seats, quick steering, balance, ASM2)
So I've had a few "discussions" with Bruce & Mike at Bamford Rose. We've finally agreed a spec and scope (after a brief flirtation with a V12 roadster )
The monster will have the following;
We were going to add the switchable suspension, but for how I use it the S is stiff enough to handle and soft enough to be comfortable
We are not touching the brakes as I'm pretty light on them and the S had 6 pot fronts anyway
It is going to be hard waiting until the back end of the summer to get my hands on this
But I've been patient waiting for the S to be built.
So that just leaves a name!
We've had Jessica, Lance, Armstrong & Diablo Blanco
Throwing it out there we are open to suitable suggestions from you guys

The monster will have the following;
- Lightened & balanced 5.0 short engine
- Gasflowed/ported heads with BR cams and large valves
- Full dry sump conversion (V8 is a semi dry system)
- BR twin inlet manifold and dual throttle bodies
- Ceramic coated headers and 200 cell cats
- Twin plate organic clutch
- Lightened/balanced flywheel & crank damper
- Upgraded drive shafts
- Reinstate air cooler to ASM2 box

Seriously though, given his penchant for topless automotive brutes, 'Steed' comes to mind (also gives you a little native British flare and evokes the notion of a trusty mount). Unfortunately JS drove a Bentley in The Avengers IIRC.

So Mikey... how long will the conversion take? Surely you're not dropping off the car now only to have to wait 8 months to have it done?

How about "Zoran" the Norse god of speed.
Zoran is a lesser known pagan god. Zoran is the son of Odin, the god of strife and war, and Hel, the goddess of death and daughter of Loki. Zoran had a small group of devout and fanatical followers who were often known to set fire to themselves and jump of cliffs in tribute to their god.

Racer_X - hard to break it down but I'll as the BR boys
WG_moots - Lightning was the first one out the box but a bit too obvious?
scottblack - I see what you did there, not sure the sexual connotation works though
Aston.ca - trying to avoid Peleton links as I'm not a fan, Steed was also another early option
AXARUNNER - specialist parts are on order (long lead time ) they will build and dyno test the engine then transplant it along with the other upgrades. Off the road for 2-3 weeks in the summer. But it will be worth it! Nike interestingly is was the Greek goddess of victory. Zoran I quite like!

Sorry for the North American-centric joke ... Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are both up for hall of fame entry this year for baseball ... both also admitted or strongly suspected users of performance enhancing drugs. So the peleton was not the allusion I was going for
