New to AM , 2007 Vantage
Hey Guys,
I've been following this site for months and have finally pulled the trigger on a 2007 Vantage. As my 1st mod I'm looking to purchase clear taillights from AM bits. I've read that the 2007 Vantage might need a computer update after this mod, any truth to this? Thanks again for all of the great ideas

There actually is a reflash available, but it doesn't do anything noticeable if everything is working well. I *think* the only functionality is that allows the car to recognize the right code if one of the LED's fail. Not completely sure of what else it does, but mine worked ok/the same before and after the reflash.

WG ,
Thanks for reaching out ! I most definitely bought your old AM . I'm loving the AM so far and it appears that you took very good care of her . I just experimented with pulling fuse 22 and I've never had a bigger grin on my face . You don't see many magma red AM in Houston . The guys / manager lady at momentum BMW were exceptional, I cannot remember the last time I had such an easy time spending 55k . Now that she's off your back , any tricks or issues I should pay attention to ? I just ordered the stubby looking radio antenna to replace the long stock one and probably going to pull the trigger on clear tail lights tomorrow . It was barley 3 weeks ago when I purchased her , I remember saying to myself that it would be near impossible to improve on this AM . Then I found this forum and hundreds of bad influences , thanks guys !

Welcome to YAHAO - Yet Another Houston Aston Owner :-)
There's seems to be a heavy collection of Texas and Houston Aston owners here.
Bring that car out to Cars and Coffee in Tomball - first Saturday of every month, 1200-1500 cars each month.

You got THE DEAL of the year on that car. Seriously. There's not too much to farkle on these as they come pretty nicely done from the factory, unless you just want to throw go-fast parts on it or do the 4.3 L factory "power kit" for $ 5K that will upgrade the HP by 30 or so.
I changed the wheels on my 2007 for a more modern look - that was worthwhile for me but other than that I really have no further upgrade plans. Note that AM is moving away from clear tail lamps and back to red ones as seen on the new Vanquish. My local AM Dealer told me that all the models would be going back to red lamps in the future.

The car was running good and had no issues. I only sold it because I had the opportunity to buy a V12; otherwise, it would still be sitting in my garage.
I had the valves plugged in the exhaust because when I pulled fuse 22, I got the "emissions service light". The car also had the RSC 200 cell sport catalytic converters. I have offered them to another local forum member, but let me know if you are interested in case he doesn't end up taking them.
I will PM you with more details.

$55K... wow. Nice price. I wonder what WG moots got on his trade when he pulled the trigger on the V12.
May I recommend that you purchase his cats? You won't be disappointed as the car runs so much better.

Thanks, WG -
Until 5 minutes ago I had no idea what a RSC 200 sport cell was, now I cant believe I've lasted the last 3 weeks without them.. Ha.. You guys are very bad influences. If the other member is not interested please let me know your asking price. I live in the heights area so not too far from you.. It appears that I'm still on restriction from PM until i rack up another 8 or so messages in the public forum. You can contact me at clint_lonestar@yahoo.com -

55K is an amazing price! Props to the seller for being a generous gentleman on the price!
If I could scoop one off someone for a similar price in the spring, it would be a dream come true!
I will probably write up my first thread on here inquiring if any members will be trading their cars in... I want dibs on a good price if so
Enjoy the car in full health! Can’t wait for mine...
