New to forums, buying an AM V8V and have a couple questions...
#76
Well here's another newbie looking at a V8V. This thread is much more interesting than those found for my last car.
Sifting through the carnage I still found quite a bit of useful knowledge thanks to the dedicated ones that managed to stay on topic. I very much appreciate it!
The Vantage I'm looking at is in Vegas so a road trip will be in order to check it out in the coming weeks. I'm very excited!

Spoken like a true gent. Thank you! I'm so excited. It's been a progression.
'03 & '07 BMW X5 - great SUV - sold for the next BMW
2008 Honda S2000 Roadster - a blast to drive - sold for the next one
2004 911 C4S Cabriolet - amazing and very reliable - still have this one
2013 BMW M3 Cabriolet - loved it, but was just totaled by uninsured motorist
....??? Now it's time for my Vantage. No more compromises.

Agreed Capt Greg, Not since the E-type have we seen such a beautiful car. I marvel every time I look at mine. You never actually own an Aston, you merely look after it for the next generation... (yes, stolen from, you got it, a watch ad!!!)

Well, I pulled the trigger on an '09 Vantage Roadster this week! I'm so excited!! It will be delivered from PA in about 2 weeks.
I hope this thread stays open as an open forum to questions about little quirks to those of us new to this breed of car. Thank you!

Thank you! To be honest I didn't know anything about the quicksilver and missed the clutch completely. I was figuring I'd be using the extended warranty for a new clutch this year.
I appreciate your input! I'll post as soon as it arrives.

Well then it's a really good thing it has a new clutch -- warranty doesn't cover consumables like clutch & brakes. Would have been a nasty and expensive surprise.
Seems a very good price for what you got too.

Interesting that the dealer advertised it as a 4.3 when it's clearly a 4.7 (much better for you). Search here on how to do sportshift clutch learns to make that new clutch last longer and improve shifting.
