V8V Roadster Fuel Door/Flap Won't Stay Closed
I've heard some people have had problems with the fuel door/flap getting stuck and not opening. I have the OPPOSITE problem -- my fuel door/flap on my V8V Roadster won't stay closed!
I've tried locking the car to see if that will force the fuel door/flap to lock as well but no dice. The dealership is less than a mile away so I might just take it there but I was hoping there was an easy fix. Any help is appreciated.

Have had issues with the cable and actuator not releasing. Basically they bind up and won't lock the fuel flap. If you look where the black circle piece is, inside the fuel flap hole. There should be a little tab sticking out.

I have senveral issues on both my v12 and v8S with fuel door release and some trouble closing as well. AM tech suggesred that I simply bend the hinge while it s still attached. After several tries, I got it close enough,

I ended up taking it to the dealership. The solenoid was fine and worked when you hit the switch. The problem was with the cable and the little notch/latch that was supposed to protrude to keep the flap closed -- it wasn't protruding. Luckily they were able to fix the cable so no replacement parts were needed. I did tell them to replace the struts (the original ones were weak) so now the gas flap opens on its own when you hit the switch. 1 hour labor + new struts so not bad at all.
