6 Slat Carbon Edition Grille Install

Has anyone installed or replaced their Vantage grille? Just ordered the 6 Slat Carbon Edition one. Any tips, diagrams, or info would be greatly appreciated. How long did it take to install?

I believe it's fairly easily and should take no more than 30 minutes or so; from what I'm told, you just need to unscrew a few screws not much more than that.

I am in the process of ordering the a 6 slatte grille as well; however, i'll be going with the platinum version.

Please post some picks once you get it installed; very curious as I was also debating on whether to go with the carbon edition.

Do you mean the std grey one or the bright finish one?

Looking at the black one on AMbits I was surprised to see the vertical supports are the same grey ones my std and previous bright finish grill had
Come on AM making them in black plastic is not expensive especially when you are charging £400 for them!

Mikey - There are 3 grille options (each with 6 bars). From brightest to darkest:

1. Shiny, bright finish (came as an option on my 2009 V8V but with 8 bars)

2. Platinum finish (introduced with the N420...and yes, i've seen it in-person and it is grayish/silver in color)

3. Carbon edition (pretty much all black bars).

In terms of pricing, platinum is the most expensive, followed by shiny and then carbon.

I've seen a 4th style of grille that has black slats with shiny leading edges. There is also an aftermarket grille (sold on eBay) that is all shiny including the vertical spacers.

Yep I knew that
What you describe as platinum is currently the standard grill on the V8, the other two are options. It is the one fitted to my S
