Proud owner, 2010 Vantage V8
Hola Everyone,
I've been lurking for six months now. I appreciate all the information I've been able to gain from the great posting among the members. Thanks for all the great stuff.
I finally made a deal on a Tungsten Silver 2010 located in Dallas about three weeks ago. Quick / smooth transaction with Logan Klein from DuSouth Auto Group. PlyCar shipped my car within six days (wow) from Dallas to Portland, Oregon.
From the seller, and the shipper, the service was top-shelf. I would highly recommend both of them and would not hesitate to use them again.
Arrival last week, and some "get the nerves out" driving has been accomplished. Really beginning to enjoy this magnificent machine. You guys are correct; each drive is truly an "event."
I'm very excited to learn more and really get to know this work of automotive art. Like many of you, I have had the pleasure to be around world class automobiles for most of my life. AM's have always been a favorite of mine, so I am thrilled to finally have one.
Thanks again for allowing me to hang around before the acquisition.
Cheers,
Jim

Jim,
Congratulations on your Vantage, now you can experience what we call a "Permagrin", every time you drive it--or just go look at it in your garage. What company did you use to ship the car from Dallas to Oregon? I'm interested in shipping mine across country and then driving it back as a vacation trip.

Thank you everyone, for the nice welcome!
Pictures to come... I know "Without pictures, it didn't really happen."
Dick- the shipper I used was Plycon. I spoke with Nick, I believe he is one of the owners of the company (nick@plycongroup.com). They were fantastic to work with.
Okay ... I'll get some photos up later today. Time to d-r-i-v-e!
Cheers,
Jim

Here are a couple of shots...
One is at DuSouth Auto in Dallas, waiting for Plycon for transport. The other is upon arrival in Portland. Looks like it was in good company - top deck had a Ford GT.
I know that's a tease, I will get some more pics this weekend.
Cheers!

Well gang, rain has hit us (Portland, imagine that!) - so I won't have 'new' photos for a bit.
In the meantime here are some screen grabs from the advert DuSouth had posted, and a shot of the car loading to Plycon's truck.
Nice drive this morning before the rain hit. Ran to Oregon DEQ emission testing; quick and easy. Then a nice freeway run.
Wow... these cars are truly amazing. "Permagrin" is right!
Cheers,
Jim
