SRS airbag light is on after seat removal
I decided to do a major cleaning on my DB9 and removed the passenger seat (battery disconnected) to vacuum under it. While vacuuming, it started to rain, so in a panic I reconnected the battery and put the car back in the garage. Unfortunately, the passenger seat was out when I did this and I believe it triggered the airbag light. I'm pretty sure cars from the mid 2000's had a pressure switch in the seat for the airbag and when it wasn't connected the car freaked out. I have left the battery disconnected for almost 3 weeks with no luck in getting this light to come off. Does anyone know of a tool that can reset the airbag light on a DB9 or I'm I looking at a dealer visit? Thanks in advance.

No... I didn't not connect it to the body port in fear of something bad could happen. Didn't know if the "body port" follows the same OBDII com. protocols so didn't chance it. I take it by your response it must be connected to the body port than?

Yes, the body port is where you want to plug in. The Autel is designed to work with either port, so no worries, you'll be fine.

I realize this is an old thread, but I would like to thank those who contributed to it. I removed my drivers seat to work on it's upholstery and didn't think about the air bag issue. When I reinstalled the seat, it showed the warning. I ordered the Aultel 802, used the Volvo XC90 input, and had the warning cleared in a couple of minutes. The info on this forum saves a lot of frustration.
