Whew! Aston Martin Will Not Produce a SUV
In great brand news, Aston Martin has apparently cancelled the plan to build a Lagonda SUV! Hooray! I say this because, I was never a fan of the idea of Aston Martin creating a SUV.
While other manufacturers like Porsche have succeeded with the Cayenne and the upcoming Macan. Aston Martin shouldn't trade in their heritage and create this monstrosity.

Do you agree?

I disagree. There is nothing special about one particular coach package or another. One is not more "heritage" than another. If that were true, Aston Martin shouldn't be putting hard roofs on any of their cars...and no V8 or V12 engines either. Oh and all wheels should be spoked. And they certainly should have never built the Rapide...or the Lagonda...etc.
I don't favor wild trend following, but the SUV is a body and package style that is here to stay. Just as Aston Martin took on the 4 door and built the most beautiful and sporting 4 door ever, I would welcome their variation on the large wagon (SUV) theme.
Many of us love the latest, bespoke shooting brake (the Rapide Jet) Aston. Why not an SUV?
