Insurance for Aston Martn Vantage or BD9

Hello All,

I am interested in Purchasing 2009 Vantage or a DB9. I have insurance with Liberty Mutual and I been trying to get a quote for the Aston but could not locate a company that will insure it.

I never have any issue with my Porsche, BMW, MB, Lexus....

I have tried Liberty Mutual, All State, StateFarm, Geico...

What insurance do you have?

I have mine through Erie, but I don't think they operate in Texas.

If you have any military tie in, USAA is the first place I'd send someone. Otherwise, try Amica, Nationwide, or look for a "Farm Bureau" insurance company.

Most of the above are going to care more about the person than the asset. If you're still stumped, I believe Haggerty or Grundy insure "weekend" cars that are not daily driven, regardless of model year.

Just some ideas

State Farm at surprisingly reasonable rates. Of course, there's a lot of variables at play--your driving record, where you live (big variable), amount of mileage per year, etc.

Chubb will insure these cars, with no problems.

Naturally, your rates will differ but for me Chubb worked out the best.

Erie insures but a daily driver rate which puts it higher than I'd like. They don't have a way to classify it as pleasure/weekend vehicle. I got a quote from State Farm which would cost $300/year but you get what you pay for & it would also cause my primary vehicle rate to increase b/c I'd be removing a car. Grundy / Hagerty use to have wonderful rates for these cars but now are same as a normal underwriter.

I have Amica. The rates are pretty reasonable and they have never balked with insuring either of my Astons even when my daughter was a teenager. In fact her 2008 Mini Cooper is still the most expensive car on the policy. They also have a dividend program that brings the cost down 20% at the end of each policy year.

I use State Farm as well and have been pleasantly surprised how reasonable it is (though I have multiple cars and homes insured with them which I'm sure helps).

I'm in good hands with Allstate. No problems insuring it, about $900/yr.
