2007 Vantage Options

2007 Vantage Options
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2007 Aston Martin Vantage V8 with 11K miles from an Aston Martin dealer. I had a couple quick questions.
This particular one doesn't have Navigation, is this a big deal? I'm sure the nav itself is way out of date and I'd never use it. But is the screen good for anything else?
Was Xenon headlights an option? Since it looks like this may be a low option example I wanted to make sure. The Salesman told me they all have the HID headlights.
The only option I know it has for sure is the upgraded Stereo System.
Thanks in advance! Looking forward to taking delivery.

I have a 2007 Vantage. Almost all the "good stuff" was optional in 2007. The following items were options:
HID headlights
Self-dimming rearview mirror w/Homelink
Navigation
Premium stereo
Cruise control
Bluetooth
Heated seats
Memory seats
Heated front windshield
Bright grille
And probably a few other things I'm forgetting.
The navigation is ugly but it works OK. Updated 2014 maps are available from Volvo for $199. I don't see nav as being a plus or minus. That said, I'm glad mine has it because my car has every option except the heated windshield, and I guess I like saying that
Also - my car had 11,700 miles on it when I got it, and the clutch was nearly completely worn out. It cost $6,000 to fix so make sure yours is good, or budget accordingly!

Thanks for the help! The clutch is a little scary, was hoping they're good for at least 20K miles! This ones a manual if it makes a difference?
I've been pushing for an option list, still haven't gotten one. I assume there's no way to tell from a picture if it has xenon headlights? Guess I can ask for a pic with the lights on.

Glad I can help!
Mine is also a manual. Most clutches last longer than 12k miles. When you drive the car try to drive about 50 mph in 6th gear, then floor the gas. If the engine revs increase before the car starts to accelerate, then the clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced.
I don't know that I've ever seen a Vantage without HID headlights, if you can post a picture we might be able to tell.
I bought my car at Lake Forest Sports Cars, they gave me the build sheet and all their service records they had on file, and let me see all that stuff before we made the deal.

Hard to tell with the headlights. They look like HID to me but I'm not 100% certain.
I don't want to scare you, but I bought my car from an Aston dealer somewhat hoping to avoid problems and on the first day I owned it a post-cat O2 sensor failed (that cost me $900 to fix). Then I found out the Bluetooth switch module was broken so the stereo didn't work right (the dealer bought the part to fix it and I installed it) and then the clutch went bad after about 500 miles of driving. Which cost me a bit more than $6000 to replace.
But I love the car! It was equipped with everything I wanted, right options, colors, etc. So even though after all the sorting it cost me a bit more than I really was planning to spend I'm glad I did it.

Well that's not really what I wanted to hear, haha. I know with any car this old the risks are high. I'm getting a warranty so the small things don't worry me, but obviously a clutch wouldn't be covered.
Anyways thanks for the advice. I'll call them soon and see about that option list. Can't wait to finally own one!
