V8 Vantage Interior Question

I recently test drove a 2016 Vantage GT and was amazed at how difficult it was to see the multimedia display and HVAC dials in the sun. Our test drive was in the afternoon and the car had no window tint, but it was nearly impossible to see anything. Everything was washed out in the sun and you had to hold your hand over the dials or display to see. It seems adjusting the dimmer switch did nothing...

Has anyone else noticed this, and is it an issue or was my test drive just during an odd time of day that amplified the issue?

Yes, that is an issue. But it is really not that often that the sun hits it directly.

I have a 2016 GT my self. I have noticed that as well, but it is only once and a while. Once I set the auto A/C I don't need to look at it again. Overall the 2016 interior is a big step up from the 2015.

Cool, thanks guys. I guess we took it out at the worst time of day and it was really noticeable. Was really surprised I couldn't just crank up the dash brightness.

Ron,
I have a 14'.
Esthetically I like the pre 16' look.
Why is the 16' an improvement?
Thanks

I think because it's a Vanquish-style center, which looks cleaner and the pop-up display shows nice graphics. But the switches are fidgety for sure

What he said, coming from a 2007 it was a night and day improvement. I don't have any complaints about the layout or the like anything else you just get used to it. And the nav screen display with all of the functions is Miles better than the 07 I had.

I prefer the previous style. Except for the buttons, which I think there should fewer, I think it's very attractive

I dislike the fact the the screen has to pop up to do anything on the new cars. My screen stays down probably 95% of the time and I prefer it that way.

Mine pops up every time reverse gear is engaged to show back up camera.

Any ways to overwrite that? Backing out of my drive way at home or from work is quite simple and risk free so that nav screen going up and down everytime reverse gear was selected is quite annoying.

^^ I wish mine didn't pop up in reverse either but it's a small annoyance. The backup camera sucks anyway. Very blurry.
