What did you do to your Aston today?

I've always loved 240's!
I don't think anybody would pay $5000 for a carbon fiber 240 grill, probably why the parts were affordable. Aston owners are perceived to have deeper pockets [even if it's not true sometimes]

I do look forward to doing the CF splitter and diffuser on my AM, but that'll have to wait until the 240Z is done, thanks to the price.

Just got my $10 Aston Martin Watch
Found this on E-Bay - wouldn't you know it - check engine light is on, maybe left the fuel cap a bit open... will need to take it in to see if it's throwing any codes.

seriously whats the quality like for $10, and does it keep time?

Love the old Z cars. I had a '95 300ZX TT, but sold it for the Aston. LS swaps are pretty common so that might be a direction to go for the motor. I think there are even kits out there.
Now you got me thinking about putting a catch can in my car.
Edit: Some inspiration. One of the best looking Z cars you'll see. A fellow Improved Touring SCCA racer. I'll pimp IT racing a little and say that if you want to go racing then IT is about as easy and cheap as it gets. Look for the 300ZX in the pics as well.

My first car was a 90 Twin Turbo--worked my *** off putting in extra hours to be able to afford it, and spent some of my college savings modifying it. It dynoed 431rwhp before I wrecked it (I was young and stupid), and I replace it with another 90 TT that ended up dynoing 469rwhp. When I went to grad school, it ended up in a state of disrepair (I was only making $800/month, and I'm sure you recall that the Z32 requires far more than that when something goes wrong) and I traded the rolling chassis for the 240Z that I have now. In 15 years of car ownership, I've always owned a Z.
The L28ET will make all the power I need, and I prefer the sound of a straight six turbo to the LS1 that I hear in droves at every cruise night.

First time I saw a Z was 1970, my brothers best friend had just bought a brand new yellow one and they were on it's maiden voyage. I was 11 and wasn't really a car nut, until I got to crawl around in that Z. Then a couple years later there was a yellow Pantera sitting in the street about 4 houses down, other side, a couple days a week. Looking back I think he was banging the Mrs! But that was enough to make me full on coo coo for cool cars. My 350 and 370 were without doubt some of the best bang for the buck on 4 wheels!
On topic, my new mats came today. I was worried the pile would be a little too deep but I think it'll be OK. I bought a "premium" set from Nissan for the 370 and the pile was so deep I couldn't keep my feet pinned in place, I had to return them. Nicest mats I've seen, but worthless fighting G's!

If you want to do some reading to help decide, check out "the crankcase ventilation bible". After reading it, I basically decided that all my performance cars were going to get a catch can.
