Looking to buy a 2015 V12 Vantage with sportshift III transmission. What is the general life expectancy of the clutch.

 

Too new, and not a lot of miles on them. Should be in the 40k range. I don't recall anyone on here that has had a problem or fault that requires replacement yet.

 

My 2017 V12S with 160 miles on it had the clutch replaced - obviously a defect. My first 2015 V12S (a deceptive sale from Aston Martin) was tracked without disclosing it (Timeless Certified), and Aston replaced the car. A few months later the next owner (who drive the car hard) had the engine blow up at about 30MPH. Aston replaced the engine and clutch at that time - that new clutch lasted about 8,000 miles (again it;s driven hard). I'm hoping to get 40,000+ miles on the clutch driven non-aggressively.

 

Just coming up to 40k on my V12S. The dealer can take a reading from the car to gauge clutch wear, and from what I have seen, I have plenty of life left in mine.
