Vantage pricing?!?
As some of you know, I have been looking at getting a new Vantage. Each time I almost pull the trigger on one, the prices seem to drop and I am wondering when that drop will end. I am from Canada and can pick up a 2019 Vantage with 12 miles on it for under $150,000 from a dealer right now! A couple of months ago, you didn't see anything under $170,000. Why are they dropping so quickly? I know you never know where the bottom is and they are not an investment but want to be somewhat smart with this purchase. Thoughts as always are appreciated.

If you're talking about new gen vantages, (same as above mentioned ), not lot of buyers, and dealers wants to get rid of them. my local dealer advertising $1299 lease for vantage, that's on 175K car, that is crazy deal , but I can't get passed the ugliness of new gen vantages. (imho)
If you really like the car, maybe you should wait few more months until summer and most likely you can get one close to $125k or less.

On the old vantage 50% MSRP on a 3yr old car with 5k miles seems to be the sweet spot on value...but you have to wait 3 years . The current 3yr lease rates have the new vantage at 60% residual which seems pretty optimistic to me...once ALLY finds out the true value that 60% will end soon..If you buy now I would assume it's worth 40-50% MSRP at 3yr point mostly due to controversial looks and the higher MSRP's starting point vs the old model.
The link below has 265 new vantages on the market right now in USA on cargurus...AM was probably stuffing the channel again to make Q4 2019 look good. AM is playing finance games until the DBX arrives just to survive..it's a buyers market so make sure you get exactly what you want...good luck

Saw one of the new Vantages at the local mall in Tyson's Corner, VA. All I can say is that they ruined the styling on the new version. Tiny headlights and ugly and busy rear end. Why spell out the words "ASTON MARTIN" right below the traditional Aston wings? They are not selling because they are not attractive.

Agreed, I think the 3 year rule of thumb is accurate.
I can't get over how much the front of the new body style screams MIATA!!!
The rest of the car looks nice, it just doesn't look like an Aston Martin to me.

The new vantage has grown on me and every time I see it in person, I seem to like it more. I just can't decide what color scheme I like more as I usually like black cars and it seems these cars do better in brighter paints.
All that being said, it wasn't a contender for purchase for me until the recently released AMR manual transmission.
I'll be very tempted when all these cars start appearing on the certified/used market. I'm also interested in seeing what they can do to improve suspension and ECU tune.

I would agree that it has taken a while for the new design to grow on my. The thing I like about the Aston brand is that it doesn't scream look at me like some of the others. I just was approached about one with 1000km of it for $155,000 CDN and thought that sounded like a good deal. Went on AutoTRADER today and found the new one I mentioned earlier for $148,000 and that is the listed price so may be some wiggle room there still. Now the $155k doesn't sound like such a good deal. I have been waiting for a convertible but it seems to be slow in coming so thought I would get the couple now and 'suffer' with it! Now I wonder if they won't come down more and will soon be in the $130k range. Decision, decisions...

tempting for sure... I love the way the new vantage drives... also love the looks in Cinnabar Orange... I think I'm going to wait a few more years though
