Quick jack.

thinking of getting one.

I don't have a quickjack, but I do have a MAX JACK, which is a two post lift. It only goes 48", which is all you need for a 8' ceiling. The posts are removable. I have really appreciated having it and sold my "Kwiklift" to get it when I picked up the AM.

As an aside, I see your handle. In 2016, I took my family on a 10,000 mile cross country trip camping trip from Washington DC to Alaska via Prince George/Prince Rupert and the Ferry system. Loved the Skeena River valley! Makes Yosemite look "cute"!

I have a quickjack, bought it specially for the Vantage 4yrs ago and it was the best investment for me. it safely lift the car about 21inches so enough to use a crepe crawler under the car to change the oil, replace my original CATs with 200 Cells, bleed the clutch, etc. I also use it to change the wheel in winter/summer for all my other cars (kids cars also). Each platform have some weight to them but they are manageable, all in all it take only a few second and the car is safely up in the air. The price went down since I originally purchased mine so for me it is a no brainer. I bought the 5000lbs version in 120Volt and so far I was able to lift just about anything I tried including some Cherokee SUV

love it. There is a guy in TX that makes custom jack pads that I recommend too. Found them on eBay. I’ll see if I can find the seller.

See the recent "Favorite Tools" and "Oil Change Tricks" threads.
Quick Jacks are very useful and I wouldn't be without mine. That said, they're a compromise for when a full lift isn't feasible. The two ramps are about 70 lb each. The lift height is better than you'll get with most jacks and jack stands, but it's tight working underneath if you're on a creeper. You have to be careful where you place jack pads with an Aston so you don't block undertray/shear panel access or lift at a structurally unsound point. None of those things are Quick Jack's "fault" - they're just things to be aware of.

Costco has 5000# Quikjack on sale for $1000. I got mine a few years ago for $1100... great investment if you do your own maintenance

I got the Quikjack SL5000 for my DB9. Works great, and a set of Matt's jack pads make it even easier to use..

I also have the jack pads. I've made one simple modification: I bought some heavy-duty adhesive velcro and attached one half to the underside of my car and the other side to the jack pad. The biggest pain with the Quick Jack and an Aston is aligning everything with the car's limited jacking points. I found that the combination of the pin system on the jack pad and the velcro made everything simple and secure. Two years in and several lifts later, the velcro still works fine.

i purchased the quickjack from costco (quickjack BL-5000SLX 2273 kg) and it works well on the aston providing you pay attention to the lift points and use 'pucks' under said points. some people use hockey pucks, others custom made pucks. i opted for the latter via a fellow i connected with via this forum; Matthew Essar
messar.pkg@gmail.com. the value of his pucks is that they have grommets which allow retention of said pucks into the astons lift point orifices which makes lifting easy.
with regard to the quickjack, unfortunately it only works on the aston based on the frame length this model supports. i would have liked it to work on my volvo xc90 also but this model wont extend to support this vehicle. optimally, i would like a quickjack that could be used on both vehicles. not sure if the extended frame length versions of the quickjack would work on both vehicles or not but worth some research if considering multiuse.

I was able to lift a Ford Escape and a Jeep Cherokee with it but yes the tires barely came off the ground using the included bigger rubber pad... You can put 6x6 block and then the rubber on top if you want to lift higher vehicle ?

Since you already have the SLX, you can buy an extension for it for extra length. I also brought the SLX 5000 from costco then got the extension thru home depot for $200

I recently purchased a Quickjack and it came in with chipped paint in about 5 different areas on one of the lifts, and the lift isn't fluid-tight (it leaks fluid at the hydraulic cylinder bleed screw). That same lift had a lot of trouble bleeding, as well. Contacted Quickjack and they offered to send touch-up paint and help me troubleshoot the leak, but they will not replace the lift piece or the unit. My point is, proceed with caution. I read many reviews of the units leaking and ignored them, and ended up seeing the same problems myself. I understand there will be some mistakes, but a company that is unwilling to stand behind and replace their products that were sent damaged to a customer is an awful company, to me.

I will probably try to return mine through the vendor and order a 4-post lift.
