2007 V8Vantage on BAT

With only 2000 miles on it I'd be afraid of garage rot. These cars are known to break when they're treated as trophies; they prefer to be driven. Can't imagine how bad the fuel system is.

two years ago i bought a 2007 vantage with 11,000 miles on it. only thing i really had to replace were the original (!) tires and a defective thermostat. although i've subsequently flushed the coolant, changed the engine oil, filter and transmission (manual) oil, brake pads, air filters and cabin filters, hood, hatch and door struts and recently a defective engine coolant sensor. mostly just maintenance.
a judicious 2000 miles may have been enough to keep the gremlins at bay i suppose...

try to get your car stereo worked on by a pro. they're all booked up 'tll august around here. i suspect the amount of the covid relief checks match up pretty close to what it would cost to upgrade or install a decent car stereo. *grin*

That’s a solid 18-20% higher than what it probably would’ve gone for 10-12 months ago. Wonder if this is a “bubble” and typical depreciation will resume at some point or if these cars will start to follow a U-shaped depreciation curve like 911’s and continue to go up in value

i suspect we are experiencing a mildly abnormal escalation in used car prices (moreso for manuals) now due to the effects of covid and many manufacturer's decisions to eliminate the manual option.
