Car Mat Holders

What are you guys using to keep your aftermarket car mats in place?. I'm a little reluctant to to try those screw in types do to the thinness of the regular carpet...

I have Lloyds in my Vantage and use them unattached (manual trans too). I periodically reach down and grab both sides closest to the seat and pull the mat back a bit....usually at a light and have never had it be a real issue/annoyance while driving.

61mga is infamous around these parts
my new-to-me 2007 8v8 had aftermarket wool mats with a nicely embroidered AM logo on them (driver and passenger). they were always sliding around, so i bought some nice berber mats from lloyd. they stay in place straight out of the box.

OTOH i recently bought some of the same mats from lloyd for my 2007 porsche cayman (forgive me ) and they slide all over the place. they're downright dangerous...sliding up and around the accelerator pedal... like the difference between tighty whities and boxers. i don't know why. ...anyway, i intend to replace them with OEM mats as soon as possible.

BTW, the cayman stuff is waaaay less expensive than the AM stuff even for aftermarket products. i just bought a full set of left AND right front rotors and pads for less than $100 and they are from a reputable online website. remarkable, it's almost like they're GIVING them away!

I had great aftermarket mats in my boxster... agree mats that slide can be a hazard... mine in the vantage don't slide around but creep up...I may try to tie them to the seat frame c with some velcro

I bought some custom AM Logo mats off eBay. They slid around so much they are in the trunk. Previous owner used a heavy duty double stick tape. I think I am going with that.
