Rebuilding 2013 DB9
#31
Going to bring this back from the dead.
Few years of scraping for parts and I now have all major components as well as a new to this DB9 rear subframe.
Cool fact I learned from this experience, 3rd gen DB9 rear quarters = DBS rear quarters. Only difference is that there is a hole in the DBS for the trim piece above the tail lights. Infortmation and body parts curtesy of a shop in Poland specialising in carbon who also loves AMs and has a parts yard in the back of his shop.
As I am digging deeper into this car I noticed the gas tank has surface rust here and there...good amount around the neck which would make sense as that is the area of flexing. Anyone seen this or dealt with it?
Enough talk, here is some pics of the progress:
Started from rear interior
Removed Damaged Left Quarter
Removed Trunk Floor
Removed Inner Trunk Surround/Structure
Just a cool shot
Removed Inner Quarter Structure Left
Extensions for the win
Rear end off...current state
