Would you change your V8 Vantage for a different Vantage
A friend of mine has a Mercedes and he told me he wishes it weren't black, for the usual reasons. My Vantage is black and that is really the one thing I don't like about it. It got me thinking, would I want to go through selling mine (which I said I'd never sell), and then buy another one that has exactly what I want? Amazingly, I bought my 2013 6 years ago and it's now worth close to what I paid then. I made a major mistake when searching for this car and passed up on a white 2012 with my favorite interior, chestnut tan. White isn't great, but the combo worked well. I should have gotten it. On the other hand, considering mine isn't an S it is optioned really well with the exterior and interior carbon packages. But I have always pined for the cobalt blue exterior. If I could find one in that color and as good of condition as mine I think I'd buy it and sell mine. Have you ever considered that?

Wow, 6 years ago. I remember when you first bought it. Local California car. Black is like a love hate relationship. I have 1 black vehicle and keep thinking about a repaint. Then after a wash/wax it seems just fine.

I also have a meteorite/black V8V 6spd and would only replace it with a V12V. I am in love with mine though, and the only thing I would consider is a Imola Yellow wrap if I would change anything.

Getting it wrapped. That didn't occur to me. How do those hold up, and when you remove them what does the paint underneath look like?

Well, mine is setup the way I like it also. It's just the black color. I don't dislike it, it's just a pita to keep clean. That and it's run of the mill.

The wrap actually protects your paint for the duration and as an added bonus, it's chip resistant (chips hit the film and bounce off, then sunlight fills in the pits).
I've had xpel paint protection film (clear because I LOVE Quantum Silver) for about 10,000 miles since I had the front repainted, and the car still looks new!

I wouldn't. My 2009 (Coupe, manual 'box, Sports Pack) is, for me, the sweet spot in the V8V range: 4.7 engine with the original design (nose, tail and sills), the original Sports Pack suspension, and my personal favorite center stack. It's Onyx over Obsidian, so yes, it's not easy to keep clean, but it's worth the effort. Sometimes I think I should've gotten a more unusual color, but when I look at my car, I just love Onyx. All that said, there is one thing that makes it a certainty that I wouldn't trade it for another Vantage: I've had it from new. That, obviously, cannot be repeated.
