Geely buys stake in AML

Chinese automotive company Zhejiang Geely Holding Group said on Friday it bought a 7.6% stake in British luxury carmaker Aston Martin.
Could this mean they're looking to take over AML in the future? They've done a great job with Volvo and look to position Lotus for a bright future. Owning both AML and Lotus would really be brilliant since both marques are often owned by the same franchise groups and are like relatives.

Hah! I get it. To be fair though, the infotainment in my '21 V60 is better than the current Vantage. It would be an upgrade over the outdated Merc stuff. They've heard it from every journo since the DB11/Vantage launched. The "refresh" of those cars will have touch screen and current systems. They know they have to IMO. Still doesn't stop me from loving the current range.

AML had sent out something about a month ago on an option to buy shares if you were like pension fund or big investor. I wonder if it was related to Geely's buy? Giving investors a shot at the same share price?
I don't see how AML goes away from MB technology at this point. Too embedded into the current range especially with using their engines. I'd rather have the Volvo tech then that hand thingy MB uses.
I'd go for simplicity and ease of use over detailed functionality.

Ain't that the truth? Do you have something in your pocket or are you happy to see me?
