2013 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Carbon Front Splitter Install DIY
Back at it with another DIY walk-through. This time it's the Carbon Front Splitter. In doing so, I'll show you how to remove wheels, front liner, under tray, slam panel, air box, front grill, and front bumper.
This install was easier than the Carbon rear diffuser, but still had its challenges, and had to remove a lot just to get the splitter access.
The Carbon Front Splitter is from ECPS Group out in Poland. The form, Fit, and Finish were perfect...as usual.
Steps to replace the Front Splitter.
1. Remove Wheel - 21mm (5) x 2
2. Remove Liner - T40, T30, and Phillips
3. Remove Under Tray - T40 and T30
4. Remove Slam Panel - T30 (12)
5. Remove Front Grill - 7mm (2) and T25 (6)
6. Remove Airbox (Shift Airbox) - 8mm (3) x 2
7. Remove Electrical Connector to Side Marker
8. Remove Front Bumper - 10mm (8) and Remove Clip
9. Remove Front Splitter - T30 (4), Clips, 10mm (2), 10mm nut (3) 10. Reinstall in reverse order
That's it. Install in reverse order and you are done.
Hope this helps. Install at your own risk and comfort level.

Thank you Andrew for yet another amazing video of the Tungsten Chariot’s transformation.
Performing the major task of disassembling the front end to install the new splitter is enough work, but to video and take pictures along the way to share with us is beyond the call of duty.
The Vantage looks fantastic and look forward to a few pictures of it on the road.

Michal out in ECPS makes the hood louvers for the V8. He just started making them and the first ones are complete as of this month I believe. Funny thing is that he made them after he saw mine and the demand for them on the v8. I purchased mine from a company out in California called aero function.

The Louvers I got came with mesh on the back side (engine facing side), but I removed them. I believe that it opens the vent up way more. Agree they are pricey, but they are very limited production parts so I can understand why. I heard the mold for those are extremely time intensive, hence why the v12 louvers are a mortgage.

soon after i got it, the first thing i replaced on my 2007 vantage was an OEM front splitter. i didn't have to remove much, IIRC. the first task was to figure out what kind of heads were on the screws! the standard ride height was so low that i had to run it up on a few 2x4's to get a pic. i think it was held on by just five or six phillips head screws.

Mine took about 6-7 weeks after the money transfer was approve. 4 weeks to custom make and 2 weeks to ship and get it approved by customs. I heard they are having carbon fiber material issues....as in cant source the material as easily.

You have the ones made bay Aero, are they dry carbon fiber, like the parts you purchased from ECPS? The Aero website doesn't really say and their distributors not much information either, states "carbon fiber plastic", that could be polyester resin. Are yours 2 piece like the ones shown on the ECPS website? I can save $200 getting Aero function and have in a few days instead of 5 weeks. I appreciate any info.

They did quote me 3-4 weeks plus week shipping. I don't like the fact they don't take credit cards. I'm not a fan of money transfer.

The Aero ones I believe are dry carbon like the ones from ECPS. They are a single piece as opposed to ECPS two pieces. The big difference is that ECPS copies the Aston Martin Carbon Fiber OEM whereas Aero has a different pattern.
At the time, this was the only option available for v8, until I convinced ECPS that there indeed is a market for V8 owners who would be very interested in Carbon Louvers. If I had to do it all over again I would order from ECPS. The pattern on the Aero is a standard weave whereas the rest of the carbon on my car is a 2x2 twill weave. It doesn't match but since it's on the hood and away from the rest of the carbon its not noticeable.
