Aston Martin Vantage “Vulcan Edition” Build
#16
Introducing the Aston Martin Vantage “Vulcan Edition”.
I was finally able to put my vision and ideas to rendering and now it’s time to turn this rendering into reality. Let the build begin!
I’ll be documenting the full build of my 2020 Aston Martin Vantage in this thread. Looking forward to sharing with other Aston owners throughout the process and hosting drives/meets for those of you in SoCal.

Protecting the car
First things first, protecting the car. I’m a sucker for a CLEAN black car as I feel that nothing looks better...so the car received the following:
- Paint correction
- Grey body accent pieces painted gloss black
- Full body @xpel Ultimate Plus PPF
- 70% @xpel Prime XR Plus window tint
- @xpel Fusion Plus ceramic coating over PPF

Yeah CCB's weren't originally on my list when searching for the right spec but it is nice to have and yes they costs $$$$. Just makes wheel caliper clearance a bit more challenging as I intend on running 19" wheels but I believe I have this figured out now. More on this soon!

The Vulcan style mouth might be toned down a bit from the rendering but I'm still loving how aggressive this angle looks from the front 3/4 view:

Lowering the car
Next up for the build was lowering the car with VelocityAP progressive lowering springs. An obvious choice to pick up a set of these from Stuart @ VAP as these springs provide reduced weight, improved ride quality, improved handling, improved shock absorber function and of course a better visual appearance:

What an absolutely epic project! I love how this is coming together.
On a general note: I have never understood how they came up with the rear-hatch/bootlid design with the lightbar design as it is: the DBS's superleggera (I know, that car came out later) has such a more elegant and more "Astonishy" classy look and feel to it. I would have expected Marek Reichman changing the design to a more DBS feel with the AMR version in 2019 perhaps. Still leaving that Iconic Kamm tail but more like below (Pardon me MSPaint :-)
But hey, that's me and my idea/style of course. I have no affiliation with that British company that redesigned the front bumper back in 2020 but I bet an updated bootlid would make a great pairing.
Keep the updates coming!!
